I received the form yesterday to get blood work and the official weigh-in for the Genghis Grill Health Kwest, so I got it done bright and early this morning (after my morning cardio session). I had previously been struggling with a plateau that lasted about 10 days without a single pound lost, but I changed my diet routine and doubled my cardio yesterday and dropped three pounds last night.
Seeing the progression from one month to the next is astonishing. I never would have imagined I could lose that much weight so fast. It's definitely not easy, but I'm motivated and doing everything I can to lose weight right now. This is a life changing opportunity for me and I'm not going to waste a moment of it.
People often ask me what my first meal will be after the contest. I usually entertain the question with "A Fried Oreo", but in reality, I can't imagine going back to my old eating habits. No more fast food, no more late night meals or unhealthy options. I'm planning, I'm being wise, and I'm going to make my life healthy going forward. I have a clean slate now, a new body to work with and a new perspective on life. All of my old habits are out the window - I've developed new habits that will last a lifetime.
