Busy Day Burning Calories

The day started out with a quick workout, and the calories continued burning throughout the day.

My first session was 32 minutes of cardio for 413 calories burned, tricep push downs, incline situps holding a 10 pound medicine ball, and oblique twists with 55 lbs. of resistance. Afterward, I came home to grab some egg beaters for breakfast.

My second session was only two hours later, this time for 532 calories burned in 30 minutes (17.73 calories/min). I did more situps and tricep push downs, and then hit the bicep pull ups and finished on the stationary bike - 3 miles in 10 minutes.

From there, I went straight home and spent an hour mowing the yard. I already had my heart pumping and a great sweat going, and was running around the yard with a mower that isn't self propelled.

This was all prior to lunch! I went to Genghis Grill in Murfreesboro with my wife for lunch. My bowl was great - It contained two servings of Marinated Fish, two of cayenne and crushed red pepper, 2 of celery and garlic water, and 1 serving of broccoli, jalapenos, spinach, and mongo peppers with 1tsp of Asian Chili sauce. GRAND TOTAL: 228.9 calories, 34g protein, 17g carbs, 7g fiber, 4g fat, 0g sat fat, 120mg cholesterol, and only 390mg sodium. Loved it! I followed that with a trip to GNC to grab protein and vitamins.

Later in the afternoon I helped the wife clean the house - we have about 20 people coming over tomorrow for Easter lunch. I have my healthy food ready to cook. I'm not interested in all the salads, casseroles, and sugary sweets that will consume my home! After all the cleaning and shopping, I decided to go back to the gym with the wife. This time I hit the elliptical for 33 minutes and tossed aside 450 calories (are you keeping count? Over 1.5 hours and over 1,500 calories burned between the stationary bike and ARC Trainer.

All the workouts had me hungry! Trip #2 to Genghis Grill!! This time, I had a bowl full of chicken. I threw in Spinach, Jalapenos, and Celery with some garlic water and seasonings. The total came to only 175 calories, 25g protein, 12g carbs, 5g fiber, 2.2g fat, 60mg cholesterol, and 587mg sodium. Now, it's time for a relaxing evening with my wife watching movies. It's been a loong day!
