For the last 8-9 years, I've been heavily involved in the online Hyundai community. They've helped me troubleshoot problems on my car, learn about performance upgrades and how to get my hands dirty, and I've learned a lot over the years. I started giving back around 4 years ago by helping to run a web forum dedicated to the Hyundai Tiburon. Now, I'm one of three administrators for the largest Hyundai forum online, and an active supporting member at various other Hyundai forums.
As I've known many of them for several years, and met plenty of them through car shows and cruise-ins, I reached out and asked for their support in this contest. I saw a surge of responses across the Hyundai and Kia forums, and they all seemed eager to help me in the votes and offer advice on weight loss and exercise routines.
I racked up about 20-25 Birthday Bowl signups yesterday, and a few more today. I hope to be able to recruit just as many over each of the next several days, as most members don't visit the forums on a daily basis. Even some of the Croatia and Netherlands members wanted to get involved, and after seeing my videos and the Genghis Grill website wanted to know if the restaurant was considering international expansion.
